Location:
Mondays at Monroe Playfields in PA
Thursdays at Haller playfield in Sequim near Carrie Blake Park

Women’s Night (Winter Indoor)
Women’s night is a great opportunity to keep your foot on the ball in the winter months. Each night, we will do a very short warm-up, then divide into 3 teams of 6-7 players to play 8 minute games, rotating teams. The group decides each night whether to play futsal (using the basketball court lines) or indoor (playing off the walls). All participants must be registered.
Dates: Thursdays, November 5 - Dec 17 (6 weeks, No indoor on Thanksgiving).
Time: 6:30-8pm
Location: Boys and Girls Club in Sequim

If a captain allows an unregistered player or minor (under the age of 18) to play on their team, they will forfeit the match.

Specific Rules
The following are a mix of IFAB Football laws and IFAB Futsal laws.
No slide tackling.
There is no offside.
There is no overtime, injury time or stoppage time.
The ceiling and 2 basketball hoops above the goals are out of bounds.
Substitution procedure
A substitution may be made at any time, whether the ball is in play or not. The substitute must wait until the player completely leaves the court.
Keeper changes may be completed when the keeper is in possession of the ball. Keeper notifies the referee. Referee stops play and restarts with the new keeper in possession of the ball.
Kick-off
The ball must be stationary on the center mark
A goal may not be scored directly from the kick-off.
The opponents of the team taking the kick-off are at least 3 m from the ball until it is in play
Out and Restart of play
The ball is out of play when it completely crosses the touchline, endline, goal line or hits the ceiling.
The ball must be placed directly on the spot where it crossed the touch line or below the location where it hit the ceiling.
A goal may not be scored directly from a kick-in or Goal Clearance (Goal Kick)
Players will have 5 seconds to restart play. If time expires possession will turn over to the opponents.
Corners will have 5 seconds to restart play. If time expires, turn over to Goal Clearance (Goal Kick)
Opponents must remain 5 yards from all restarts.
On Goal Clearances (Goal Kick) opponents must be outside the penalty area.
The Goalkeeper
May only use their hands in their 6 meter arc around the goal (the 3 point basketball area).
May receive a sideline kick-in directly (but cannot pick the ball up, similar to a pass back).
No drop kicks.
The goalkeeper may not kick or throw the ball in the air over the half-way line. It may be rolled across the half way, but not for a score. Doing so results in a loss of possession with the ball placed where it crossed the halfway line.
The goalkeeper must wear a different color jersey than the outfield players.
When the ball goes out for a Goal Clearance (Goal Kick) the goalkeeper has 5 seconds to put the ball back into play. (They may roll, throw or drop and pass to a teammate.)
The goalkeeper may only hold the ball in their hands for 5 seconds. If they exceed this, the restart will be an indirect freekick.
Fouls and Misconduct
Players will be responsible for playing in a safe manner and conducting themselves in a sportsmanlike manner to avoid committing intentional or reckless fouls and dangerous play.
Any player who has received a Yellow card is required to leave the pitch where their team will play a man down for a length of 3 minutes.
Yellow and red cards will be issued, per discretion of the referee. Anyone receiving a red card will be expected to immediately vacate the facility and will incur a one match penalty.
The referee may issue indirect, direct, and PK’s per their discretion
NPFC Blaze
Team Description
Blaze was started in 2022 with the goal of giving local women a place to play, develop both as individual players and a team, and compete against other teams at our level. Our team motto is, "Our Fuel, Our Fire,” which means we play simply because OUR love of the game fills US with joy.
Season Structure
Tryouts are held each year in early March, with the intention of welcoming any player who is ready to make a commitment to their own growth and the growth of the team. This opportunity is meant for players who want to take their skill level and game to the next level. A significant drive to invest time and learn the game will get you a spot on the team, even if you are new to the sport. The goal of the season is to build on individual and team skill and cohesion with a group of players who are driven to play and compete at their highest ability. We train 2x/week over the course of a 10-week season, with training opportunities in both Sequim and Port Angeles. The season concludes in mid-June.
Game Schedule
Anticipate about 4 home games and 4 away games, likely Saturday afternoons, possibly weekday evenings. We will not be joining a league, but plan to have friendly games with the local U19 girls team, the GEMM league All-Stars in SeaTac, and other recreational women's groups in Kitsap and Jefferson counties. The purpose of playing friendly games is to have fun and learn.
Team Expectations
Demonstrate a commitment to individual and team growth
Enjoy the game and enjoy each other
Use TeamSnap. This is how we do all of our team communications
RSVP to all practices and games! This is so important so that the coach can plan the best training session for us without the hassle of too many last minute adjustments to accommodate unexpected numbers
Make a commitment to attend at least 1 practice each week. Making this commitment allows the team to progress together. AND, no shame/guilt when things come up or if you need to operate on a different schedule. Just let us know. We are happy to have you and it is understood that we are all balancing lots of things.
Cost
Tryout fee: $25
Season fee: $125
Fees go toward covering the cost of insurance, referees, field rentals, jersey kits, and equipment. We have an individual who makes a small donation each year to a scholarship fund, because this person doesn’t want money preventing anyone from being able to play. Scholarships are available. If you love soccer, we want you to be able to play!
Is this for you?
We are looking for passionate players who want to be a part of a team and play with focus and intensity. We want to find that pocket together of fun, focus, and a commitment to growth. Our goal is to take whatever group of players we get, develop our skills, and play at our highest potential level, all the while centering our joy and love of the game.
A special note to moms
We especially welcome moms to join, and we fully support and understand the constantly changing demands, so much so that we consider it an honor to provide a way for you to fill your own cup. If you are a mom and want to play, there are ZERO expectations about your attendance at practices and games (I know that’s hard to believe, but this isn’t a stereotypical team). “Team” in this context means we’ve got you, when you need the support.
NPFC Women’s Summer Camp
Who says summer camps are only for kids! In this summer camp for women, we will practice and finesse basic football actions including receiving the ball, first touches and foot work, passing, shooting, escaping pressure, defensive actions and 1v1 situations. Camp will end with small-sided games to integrate basic football actions.
